This WIP is very ROUGH and RAW. Eventually I am going to clean it up a lot and apply some RAP lyrics to it that Slams the RIAA in a very Direct way. I eventually will have the final rendition as the theme music to a film, in which I intend to broadcast over the web, using Google, and Youtube, as well as many other sources. I might even leave in some of that 60 cycle hum and noise just to remind everyone that this is exactly what they are all about, a bunch of whining noise, with false claims about the loss in revenue that is supposed to be due to pirating of their copyrighted music.
m a nothing from nowhere ,that nobody knows
Never amounted to nothing, my acount is all zeros.
Got even less cents , closer to forclose
Nothings happening here, thats why the door is closed.
I got Nothing
Nuthin Butt You
Nothing else really matters
But nothing else will ever do
Nothing from nothing leaves nothing I'm told
Nothing aint nothing if you aint got gold
Nothing ever happens till da money gets stole
Nothing really matters when you're too old
I got Nothing
Nuthin Butt You
Nothing else really matters
But nothing else will ever do
OK I am short and round with scars and tattoos ,but what has that got to do with my music!
The Blue Danube by Strauss totally ruined by fart-2-itive midi-master Talltechson . Please don't laugh as hard as I did my stitches still hurt.
Winter sucks but not like politicians
Yea they both are cold and heartless
But at least winter only comes once a year
Wait maybe winter's just like a republican
If you are the poor you'll be gettin screwed
If it's like a Democrat you will be gettin sued
Oh yeah this song was going to be about winter
What the hell winter sounds pretty sweet
when you think about politics and corruption
All their war's death and destruction
Wasteful spending lies and deceit
Makes you wonder if they are the real criminals
Maybe we could throw em all in a pile
Open Your Mind

Chilling psychedelic journey through canyon landscapes, based on a conceptional theme by Necromanos.
German Pop Ballad about saying good-bye when love disappears; written in 1985.
Ambient Electronica, minimal and experimental; featuring Fenix vocodered.
Downtempo Electronica, inspired by a conceptional draft named 'space flight' by IGTB, who created and kindly provided the synth pads.
Main vocals, lyrics: Calendargirl @ccmixter
Downtempo Synthyrock Pop Ballad.

Downtempo Ballad.
Vocals, lyrics: Trifonic @ccmixter.
Meditative chillout guitars.
About a year ago I was strumming some random chords and intervals on my guitar - pretty much absorbed in thought - when suddenly a short sequence attracted my interest... three consecutive 5ths: B/F#, G/D and D/A, played slowly and descending. In my imagination I completed the 3rds and virtually heard B-minor, G-major and D-major, which gave a nice progression for iteration.
Recently, when I was in the mood for some minimalism and ambience, I thought it would be good idea to pick this theme and splice it... well, this was the result.
Traditional nursery rhyme with celtic flair.
Vocals by Gluttony.
Persiflage about a guy searchin his afghanian, not knowing he unwittingly fed it to the ducks. This tune was inspired by 'The Three Stages Of Duck' by Of_The_Ego..
Urban Rock/Triphop Ballad about bleakness of niteclubbin scenes, trying to find answers and reaching decisions even they lead to isolation. Additional vocal appearence: C.Layne @ccmixter.
Ethno Triphop. Mixture of modern drum'n'bass and traditional chinese instruments such as erhu, pipa, luan, guzhen and ban-di. They're mostly bowed or plugged strings, having simple yet interesting sounds. In spite of their frugal structure, Asiatic tunes have got a very profound, natural and acoustic flavour when interpreted by such instruments - which are seldom applied in other styles, eg. like triphop or jazz; nonetheless it's always worth a try.
Slow pop ballad about two friends who lost their dream. Wrote it when I was in a rather sentimental mood. So it turned out quite simple and technically far from perfect (jolty vocals, monotonous backing synth, suboptimal balanced tracks). However, after having listened to the draft mixdown twice, I didn't mind, cos my basic intention was to carry the lyrics. On the other hand - if you're in such a weepy disposition you don't care for details.
Spoken words appearence: Of_The_Ego.
Remix of one of my brother's instrumental compositions (Cubase test: guitar, piano, drums); added some female voices and a tibetan chanting intermezzo.
Australian Outback soundscape, meditative and chilling ambience. Vocals (Splice mates) in order of appearence: Bram, Idisidi, Arobee1134.
German Pop Ballad about remembering old times.
Classical style woven melodies over a minimal electronica background.
Slightly modernized version of a German Folk song (lyrics: Wilhelm Müller, music: Franz Schubert).
Ironical RockPop song about industry lobby.
Acappella Tribal. Song about throwing troubles into a deep swamp and hoping they'll never show up anymore. Yea if only life could be that easy...
Techno/trance study based on a conceptional draft by Skyhawk.
Additional synth clip by IGTB.
Raggae style Popsong.

Downtempo experimental Pop
Sort of mantra with hammond organ, nice chilling background music for easy-listening. The lyrical singer is a girl who uploaded her clip on Splice, don't remember her name. I played her sample backwards and the last words did sound like 'city snows'. Strangely enough, her melancholic voice reminded me to past winter days when I used to take walks through the snow covered city, pondering and dreaming. Anyway, that's where this title comes from. Added my own sadness by means of a few guitar melodies. (Backing choral drone: Trifonic @ccmixter.org).

Traditional Celtic ballad
Probably one of the most famous english folk songs, also known as 'Once I Had A Sweetheart', and has been a favourite of mine since I started guitar exercises in the 70s. However, the guitar is not dominating in this version; I tried to create a more common medieval atmosphere.

Latin Dancefloor (vocals/lyrics: Tamy @ccmixter.org)
Don't know much about the spanish language and I'm an even worse dancer, haha, but when I found Tamy's pella, I just had to give it a try. The title means 'what a pity' and although the mix was intended to sound technoish, it came out rather triphop and mainstream... pffft, what a pity, but it's ok - so it has got a nice latin groove for moody moments...

Ambient Industrial (Vocals/lyrics: Fenix)
Discovered a Fenix poem named 'doormat' on my drive the other day. Having already started with a dark Electronica tune before, I thus arranged her poem (via vocoder) and integrated it into the draft, which led to a strange Industrial Pop fusion. The title/picture came from my Electronica WIP, previously designed as a pure instrumental tune. I just didn't change the project's working title after having added Fenix.
Progressive Rock
- Vocals, lyrics: calendargirl @ccmixter.org (September song)
- Drums, bass, rhythm guitar: Necromanos (Hippie song, 1991)
For this mashup, mainly based on Necro's track, I had a dark and melancholic atmosphere in mind. Luckily found matching lyrics in calendargirl's September song - the only problem: it was in the wrong key. So I had to pitch her acappella 5 halftones down, resulting in the voice of a young man. Although this gender change came out pretty nice, I somehow missed her original voice. That's why I used her vocals once again (pitched up 2 halftones) to create a male/female duet, singing in quint intervals.

Sort of progressive Latin Pop (Vocals, lyrics: Tamy @ccmixter)

Experimental glitch, soundscape of dying harddisks.
(All sounds by failuring storage hardware from Fujitsu, Hitachi/IBM, Maxtor, Quantum, Samsung, Seagate, Toshiba and Western Digital. Vocals by AT&T Labs virtual speech)
Just an exercise in creating music from non-musical sources. In this case I used a bunch of clips from various harddisk failures, mainly stuttering motors and stepping head noises.
For the intro part I mixed them in their original states. In the second (lyrical) part I had to pitch them to obtain decent material for constructing melodies and chords. Of course it would have been too much work to process and insert each single note manually by editing the waveforms. Instead I created a soundfont, based on the particular noises. This way I could execute the composing in a MIDI editor and render the notes using the soundfont.

Ironical RockPop song about industry lobby.
Never was too much interested in politics, but a few years ago I somehow came up with the idea to write these lyrics. Well, in 2008 I finally decided to make it a complete song, so here it is.
The original plan was to create an ElectroPop tune, sorta Kraftwerk style, using distorted vocals for a cool industrial touch. But then it got its own will and turned into a more rocking direction. Anyway, distorted vocals didn't seem to match the new style, and since I wanted to avoid my original voice, I quickly pitched my vocals down by 4 halftones. The result was a strange voice with black flavour... pretty wacky, I wouldn't have recognized myself.

Acappella Ballad (lead vocals, lyrics: narva9 @ ccmixter)

Wrote this song 1993 when some friends and me used to jam weekly in the house of our female lead singer. The song was originally arranged (and also recorded at that time) as a folk style pop ballad with two or three vocal lines and a rather innocent, harmless pop instrumentation, featuring clean guitars.
In the new version I wanted to spawn a bit more of darkness, although the result isn't too much hardcore.

German Ballad
Wrote this poem in 1985 for and made it a song a few years later. Recorded it in 2008, finally.
It's about the old story of a cool guy who falls in love with a woman, but firstly doesn't show her too much feelings. Then comes the day when he changes, getting soft and emotional; yet too late... she already adopted his tough behaviour and went away, now her is the cool one.

Chillout Latin Jazz (Vocals, lyrics: SilviaO)

Dark minimal Dubstep (vocals, lyrics: SilviaO).

Indie Rock (vocals/lyrics: Kristin Hersh @ ccmixter.org)
Although Kristin's original vocal stem was pretty good, I pitched it down (3 halftones) to get that strange undefinable voice flavour.

Experimental Psychedelic Classic
Weird composition, including solar and polar storm frequency samples and clusters a la Ligeti. If you liked Kubrick's "2001: A Space Odyssey", you'll probably like this tune as well.

Downtempo Rockpop Ballad
Adaption from poem 'Searching' by Sylvan Shadowolf (aka Necromanos).
This collab work is based on processed clips by Necromanos (backing pads, guitar solo parts) and by me (MIDI, vocals, guitar parts, arrangement).

Ambient Electronica
Compilation of a synth/bass pad, some arranged drum patterns and Kristin Hersh's outstanding pella (@ ccmixter) whose lyrics and voice gave this tune a good amount of timeless poetry, embedded in a haunting, yet kinda melancholic atmosphere.

Experimental Pop
Strange mixture of Mainstream, Softpop, Dancefloor, Industrial and Glitch. Actually it's a love song, but most elements slipped in rather accidentally... maybe I was too bored that day.

Downtempo Ambient Alternative (vocals/lyrics: narva9 @ccmixter.org)
Another minimal tune (less is more), quite simple, sort of laid-back and a wee bit of sadness.

Alternative Pop
Ironical view on modern ways of life. This tune is under 3 minutes, so it's one of my shortest songs.

Experimental classic/electro fusion
- vocal fragments: Julzia
- nylon guitar patterns: Airtone
- electric guitar: Asaguare
- piano/atmo pad: Necromanos
Rather classical composition, strongly inspired by Necromanos' piano track, some clips of which appear here and there in the tune. Also thanks to Airtone who explicitely rendered a couple of acoustic guitar bars for me.
About a year and a half ago, I posted a song called "Don't Die". This song had a very bad bass track within it. I never could quite get this one all quite right, but the song had an overall very unique catchy sound. So here it is again without the bass and some additional parts added to it as well.
