Since my music PC has been down, I have been frustrated about making music. I can't do all the things I had been used too. I can't use all the software that I've become accustomed to use to build my tracks up. On this old PC I have one line in to use for anything I want to record into the computer. Whereas before, the synth was plugged in to use for it's sounds as well as for midi control of my software synths, I had the padKontrol always plugged in for any real time drumming or triggered sounds I might want to do. A nanokey for random sounds or little melodies. My Kaossilator to play all those weird and interesting sounds it has. And I had a Yamaha PRS-300 I could use as a midi keyboard too. Though I hadn't actually tried it with the Yamaha. And now the Alesis Micron. With one freaking jack on the back of the computer that will work for the inputs. So I've been sticking to the synths, x50 and Micron. With their combi's and setup's I can at least set up a rhythm to go with any melodies I like. I need a set up where everything is plugged in and ready to go! Just turn up the levels and play, instead of finding the end of the cable where it fell from where I last unplugged it... lol.
I need a BAND!!. I just would like to go somewhere and play loudly for a while! Hopefully it wouldn't mean play BADLY. I haven't played in a band in maybe 20 years! So I'm probably way outta practice in that situation. But it sure would be a major stress and frustration release!

Same Thoughts
I have been thinking in the same line of thought lately myself. I have been getting nowhere real fast it seems. At least my PC is working but I haven't found any time to be creative. I have been humming to songs in my car just to keep my creative spirit alive. I will get some time this summer to work on my studio and lay some new tracks down for "Surf" and I have some ideas for vocals with it. I also plan to finish the "Sword/" Goth 5 track CD this summer leading probably through fall, knowing the way I move. I will be putting some new efforts to bring people to the site this summer but I am still trying to iron out the Dash Player and then move on to the E-Commerce store.
With all of this stress and things not working out in a timely manner, I too was thinking just the other day how refreshing it would be just to go round up a few guys to put a jam session together and maybe form a band, ha strange thing stress will do to you. Don't know if you noticed but I created that section in the forum for Album revues etc all for you. If you are interested that may be a way to burn off some stress factor until you get your PC in order.
Groove On!!!
Reviews
Cool! I'll have to think of what albums I'd like to review. I'll review some of my hardware and software too maybe. How about a section: "Why you shouldn't buy a Dell"? LOL! I just sent off an email to PCAL detailing what I'd like and info about my set up. Hopefully I'll be able to order it this week.
