New PC = New Goal

Since I'm getting the new music PC, I decided I am going to try to make a cohesive "album". At least ten songs worth. I want to devote more time to song structure, instead of the simple songs I usually do. I may not go as far as a progressive rock opus, but I need to go further than my "melody one - melody two - repeat - end the song". I can write better than that - I usually have two or three songs running through my head at any given time - some that I probably have no chance of actually playing. I can write some ridiculously complex songs in my head, but I'd probably have to hire Dream Theater to play them. lol. Another thing I'd like to do one day is record my friend's Irish band. I need more inputs and a good recording room before that since they are mostly acoustic. Their recordings I've heard so far have not been bad, but I think I could do at least as good, if not better, and I wouldn't charge them much if anything to record them. A "Produced and Recorded by" credit would be groovy enough!

So wish me luck with the album project. And I don't rule out collaborations! And this doesn't mean I'm not going to write other things too. So don't worry about having no songs on Jamacast! :o)
